Day 73 Walden, CO to Riverside, WY

Total miles: 49, +/- elevation 1722/2608, total miles so far: 2517 weather: mostly sunny 70’s. Experienced side and head winds today across the vast valleys we were riding through.

Leaving the Historic hotel we stayed in where rooms were on 2nd floor so quite the workout carrying bike and gear upstairs!

Walden known for moose sightings however this guy is only one we saw!

Ok Head down heading into wind! Is it too late to get a motor? Look way behind Pat and you can see the road we were riding on.

Yes we crossed into Wyoming. Beautiful ranches with Mountain views all around us.

The view was thinking John Wayne would ride by chasing the outlaws.

If you look hard there is a Pronghorn. We saw many but was unable to get close shot.

Sprawling ranch

With Pat are Wayne, Dana, and John. Not pictured are Rusty and Maryann. These cyclists with are riding east with a support vehicle carrying their gear. Maryann is driving the support vehicle and was kind enough to take our picture at the Wyoming sign.

We were going to camp at Riverside but they had this nice cabin for not much more than the price of camping.

Had a great burger from this restaurant right across the street from the cabin.

Met some eastbound cyclists at the restaurant. Brian and his father Doug are heading for St Louis. We always have a lot to talk about when we meet other touring cyclists.

  1. Hard to believe you are already in Wyoming! So impressed that you both are smiling from
ear to ear in every picture. Keep pedaling!🚵

  2. Looks like a nice quaint town.
In one pic, if Mark had been to the left by a foot, the moose antlers would looked as if they coming growing out of his head.
